St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church

The caring parishioners at St. Bartholomew's are active in many forms of outreach in our community and beyond.

Some of these are:

INN OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, church members volunteer to prepare and serve lunch at the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

 New volunteers are always welcome.

Food Bank

We regularly collect food for the local food bank.



 

 Preparing baskets for the Women's Interval Home - Easter 

THE WOMEN'S INTERVAL HOME

We collect toiletries and donate seasonal gifts to the Sarnia Women's Interval Home.

A REASON FOR RAINBOW'S

This is a "Day Away for Women" that include guest speakers, workshops, fellowship, a day of learning, a delicious lunch and lots of FUN!

The proceeds from the day are donated to the Big Sister's of Sarnia/Lambton and The Women's Interval Home.


COMMUNITY DINNERS

A few times a year we host a scrumptious dinner with all the trimmings; the proceeds of which go to various outreach projects within the community.


SLEEPING CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD

Each year the proceeds from our children's Funfair and other fundraisers are donated to SCAW and are used to supply bed kits to children in underdeveloped countries around the world. Each bed kit consists of a mattress, pillow, sheet, blanket, mosquito net (if applicable) one outfit of clothes, towel and school supplies.


RAINBOWS

Rainbows is an international not-for-profit organization that provides emotional support to children confronting death, divorce or other life-altering crises.

St. Bartholomew's has a group of trained facilitators who provide a fourteen week program for children from Sarnia/Lambton who are grieving a loss.


OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Each year before Christmas, St. Bartholomew's participates in operation Christmas Child.

Our Church School arranges for people to donate shoe boxes filled with school supplies, toiletries, small toys and special treats for children in need throughout the world.

Each year the generosity of our church community grows and we are able to send many boxes off for distributon around the world.


HURON HUNGER FUND (PRIMATES WORLD RELIEF AND DEVELOPEMENT FUND)

We collect donations for the ongoing work of the PWRDF and we also channel donations for emergency relief (e.g. the Haiti disaster).


St. Bartholomew's "Pamper Day" for Women - offered throughout the year.
